You hear it from your peers, you hear it from your profs, and you definitely hear it from your dons; getting involved is a wonderful thing.
Getting involved doesn't mean going to every event possible, although it can if you'd like it to. Your residence experience can be made that much better by simply attending a house meeting once in a while, looking at some volunteer opportunities, or competing with your House/Hall/Court/Block at an event. Not only does it provide you an opportunity to socialize with your peers, but you also get the chance to explore things that you might not be too familiar with. So get out there and take a chance. We're not going to force you, but we are telling you: some of these events are a heck of a lot of fun, and we think you'd enjoy them.
